Class Sixteen

Before class on Wednesday, we were not sure if class was going to meet or not because Dr. Chris was stuck in traffic. He said that around 5 he would let us know whether or not we were actually meeting in the classroom or if he was going to have it online. Even though I didn't want to leave my room, I also had no idea how to work Google hangouts. I was glad we had class just because I wanted to learn how to work it for future knowledge. Class was a lot of fun too. We all experimented with Google hangout with our group members and seeing the different things we could do on them. It was really funny especially when people put on funny effects such as hats or changed their background. It always amazes me the different things that are being invented electronically. I'm excited to try it outside the classroom.
Here are some pictures I took during it:

Class Fifteen

On Monday I had to miss class because I had to go home for a family emergency. I had to be on the train to New York City at 3:05 in order to get to the city as early as I could. It was very strange to be in the city during a week of school and knowing I would be there for less than 24 hours. I do miss New York a lot while in Baltimore because that has been my home for 19 years. I have so many memories there and all the little things that I had never thought about before I left there to start my experience here at Loyola, are prominent in my brain these days. My room here is covered in New York City posters and I have lights hanging up that remind me of the lights there. So being home was great except for the reason I was there wasn't. Even though I was home I kept thinking about the things I was missing in the classes I couldn't go to. I hope I didn't miss to many new topics and that I catch up as soon as possible. I snapped shots of when I arrived in New York City on Monday night and then of my journey back to Baltimore via the train.

My Weekend

This weekend was extremely fun because my friend Mary from high school came to visit me. She arrived into Baltimore Penn Station from Penn Station in New York at around 4 pm. When she I got her from downstairs of Campion Towers she almost cried because we had not seen each other in three months which is strange for us after going to school together for thirteen years. I got to introduce her to my roommate, one was not home, and all of my friends. She had never been to Baltimore before so I took her to see different sites such as the Inner Harbor and of course the Towson Mall. She stayed until Sunday and it was so nice having my friend from home in my new home. Also she got along really well with my friends here so it was nice to see my two worlds colliding. It was really upsetting when she left but I will going to her college during our Easter break so we won't be separated for too long.
Here are some pictures from this weekend:
A group shot with my friend Eleanore, who goes here, and Mary, who was visiting
Cracking jokes because they needed me to smile with teeth
 Posing by the Inner Harbor
They replaced me with this dude
Reenacting the Titanic flying scene because why not...
Had to bring her to Miss Shirley's before she left for once the wait wasn't long

Class Fourteen

Last class we got to shoot outside again. It was nice not being in the classroom because it feels more freeing just getting to walk around. This week groups had to partner up so my group, Laid back, partnered up with Happy. It was nice getting to spend more time getting to know people in other groups and getting to work with them. Our group decided the story we were going to tell about Loyola was about two students, Katie and Priscilla, met and Loyola and then ended up getting married here. It was funny to see how into it they got. I hope we get to spend more classes outside when the weather is this nice. The best part of that whole outing though was definitely the dog we saw though; it was so cute.

Class Thirteen

Last class was really nice because we got to be outside. The weather is amazing right now and it is starting to feel more like Spring. It is so hard to believe that it was just snowing not even two weeks ago. My group Laid-back stayed true to their name and just hung out. We took pictures and than after the class shot a music video for "Uptown Funk". I always thought I knew pop music but I hadn't heard that song before class with Dr. Chris. I was one of the people recording the people walking. It was fun to make but even funnier to see random students and people on campus so perplexed by what we were doing.

Here is my shot:

Class Twelve

I cannot believe Spring break is already over. While it is sad to be back on campus because we have to get right back to work; it is helpful that the weather is a lot nicer. Last week there was so much snow and now it finally feels like Spring. It was cool looking at everyone in the class's blog posts about their Spring Break. I felt like I was learning more about everyone in the class through their photos. I was so jealous of the people who went to the Caribbean because I was stuck in the snow in New York City. After we finished looking at everyone's pictures, Dr. Chris said we were going to go outside for the end of class. Because the weather is so much warmer, it was kind of nice being able to go outside for class. When we were walking out of the building and on the quad it sort of felt like when I was touring the school for the first time, which was pretty funny. We had to take pictures of the different buildings surrounding the Quad and of people walking. We had to use the sun as our light source as we had learned previously. My favorite part of that whole experience though was the dog we took pictures of because it was so cute and such a good model for photos. In all it was a good return to class after break.
